Rixtag for macOS revved to version 2.4
Rixstep (www.rixstep.com) has announced Rixtag 2.4, a feature update to their macOS tag editor. The app allows users to edit macOS-based tags on files of any type, including regular files, directories, and more. By tagging files with descriptive tags, Rixtag is designed to make easier to search for and find files on a Mac's internal and external hard drives. Version 2.4 is a maintenance upgrade. Rixtag requires macOS 10.7.5 or higher. It’s part of the $59 Xfile bundle along with over 20 other file management utilities or as part of the $99 ACP subscription.

Flexibits Releases Fantastical 2.4 for Mac
Flexibits has updated Fantastical 2 for Mac to version 2.4, which provides time to leave alerts and travel time support. Users can now receive alerts when they need to leave to get to an event on time or set the amount of travel time needed to aid scheduling. Quark acquired by Parallax Capital Partners
Quark Software (www.quark.com) has been acquired by Parallax Capital Partners (Parallax), a Southern California-based software-focused private equity firm. The new owners intend to help Quark accelerate the adoption of its transformational content automation solutions through investment in organic growth and acquisitions, the companies said in a joint statement. Details of the acquisition haven’t been released.   Quark offers an end-to-end content automation platform that enables the creation, management, publishing and delivery of content across print, Web and digital channels. The company was founded in Denver, Colo. in 1981 and is best known to Mac users as the company behind the Quark XPress desktop publishing software.

PayPal now available on the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes
Starting today in Canada and Mexico, and rolling out in other countries including the U.S. soon, PayPal customers will be able to pay for App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and iBooks purchases across iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices using their PayPal account. Customers with a new or existing Apple ID can select “PayPal” as their payment method from their account settings in the App Store, Apple Music, iTunes and the iBookStore from their iOS device or Mac — or on iTunes from a PC.  Once PayPal has been selected, all future purchases with the customer's Apple ID will be automatically charged to their PayPal account. This includes purchases of apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books, as well as Apple Music subscriptions and iCloud storage. SureCall releases the Fusion2Go 2.0 in-vehicle cellular signal...
SureCall (www.SureCall.com), a cell phone signal booster manufacturer, has introduced its Fusion2Go 2.0 in-vehicle cellular signal booster. Apple’s first store in Taiwan opens Saturday
Apple Taipei 101 opens Saturday at 11 a.m., bringing Apple’s products, services and in-store experiences to customers in Taiwan for the first time. At the heart of every Apple Store is the drive to educate and inspire in a space where the community can come together to learn. Apple Taipei 101 will host new “Today at Apple” programs, including more than 60 free hands-on sessions designed for customers of all ages to take their creative skills to the next level around topics including photography and video, art and design, music, coding and more. Earlier this month Apple announced the location with a barricade of hand-cut fabric by Taiwanese artist Yang Shih-Yi that depicts the Banyan tree, a traditional meeting place. TurnTable for macOS revved to version 2.0
Aquarius Computer (http://aquariuscomputer.org/) has released TurnTable 2.0, a feature update to their music player for macOS. The update presents record albums as real albums. The Album art is wide screen, reflected with the track list imprinted on it, just like a real record from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Albums are presented in a full collection view of album art. The Records view is flip-through, like a crate of classic records in your garage. TurnTable 2.0 requires macOS 10.10 or later. Zevrix Solutions has released Output Factory 2, an upgrade to the company's output automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates printing and exporting from InDesign. It offers batch processing, export as single pages, layer versioning, variable file names, and other productivity-enhancing features. Version 2 lets users run custom AppleScript and JavaScript scripts during processing, and adds an option to save output files in dynamically created subfolders. Output Factory can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $169.95. There’s a “lite” version for $120 and a server version for $700. A demo is available for download. The users of Output Factory 1.x and BatchOutput can upgrade to Output Factory 2 for $85 (or $60 for the lite version). Output Factory requires macOS 10.7-10.12 and Adobe InDesign CS5-CC 2017.
