Retina: Windows Interface Elements

For a lot of interface elements, both VMware and Parallels do a great job. In fact, Apple’s Boot Camp does a great job in Windows 7 (Apple currently doesn’t support Windows 8 in Boot Camp). See the examples for Boot Camp, VMware Fusion, and Parallels Desktop. Take note of the icon quality of the Recycle Bin, and folders as well as the clarity of the text, Start Menu Button, and application windows. You can also get a bit of a feeling of what non-Retina would look like when you look at the icon for 3DMark06 which is not higher resolution, but scaled.
