OtterBox (www.otterbox.com) and Corning, which specializes glass science, have announced a strategic partnership designed to bring a new class of screen protection to mobile devices.
OtterBox will soon introduce Amplify glass screen protectors utilizing technology developed through the partnership to cover today’s leading smartphones and tablets, says CEO Jim Parke. OtterBox’s unparalleled experience in device protection will be combined with Corning’s 167-year legacy of glass innovation to create a full portfolio of innovative glass solutions designed to provide added protection and improve the user experience, he adds.
Amplify draws on proprietary engineering and manufacturing techniques to provide users with longer-lasting protection and durability, while also improving various facets of the digital screen experience including improved transmission and scratch resistance. The Amplify screen protection portfolio is “coming soon” for the iPhone, Galaxy and more.
