Apple will open a retail store in the Stanford Shopping Center (in northern California), less than one-half mile from the existing Palo Alto store, reports ifo AppleStore. Why two stores so close together? “One expert suggests Apple will completely close its Palo Alto store for renovation (stone floor, wooden furniture), and use the Stanford site as a temporary sales location,” ifo AppleStore adds. “The lack of new job listings for the mall seems to confirm this scenario — the current Palo Alto staff will move to the shopping center while renovations are under way.”
