“60 Minutes” is apparently the first primetime news magazine to have its own stand-alone application for the iPad. Content from the television broadcast and online features will be offered on the new app, now available for US$4.99.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs topped Bill Gates of Microsoft in the latest tech power poll by the “SiliconValley/San Jose Business Journal” (http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2010/11/17/jobs-tops-gates-in-tech-power-poll.html?ana=yfcpc) online survey.
Jobs took 42% of the votes cast in the unscientific Business Pulse survey that was done between Nov. 9 and Nov. 16. Gates was favored in 29% of the responses.
Google Inc.’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin garnered 14%. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg nabbed 8%.
