Socialite update improves error handling

Realmac Software has announced the availability of Socialite 1.2.2 (http://www.realmacsoftware.com/socialite/). Previously known as EventBox, Socialite is a multi-service social network client for Mac OS X that’s designed to make it easy stay up-to-date with the latest RSS articles and friends’ status updates on Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.

Version 1.2.2 improves error handling to work around Twitter API output issues. It also limits direct messages to 140 characters to match API behavior.

Jobs tops Gates in tech power poll

Apple CEO Steve Jobs topped Bill Gates of Microsoft in the latest tech power poll by the “SiliconValley/San Jose Business Journal” (http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2010/11/17/jobs-tops-gates-in-tech-power-poll.html?ana=yfcpc) online survey.

Jobs took 42% of the votes cast in the unscientific Business Pulse survey that was done between Nov. 9 and Nov. 16. Gates was favored in 29% of the responses.
Google Inc.’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin garnered 14%. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg nabbed 8%.
