Margo’s Got Money Troubles What it’s about: A comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer, Margo, the daughter of an ex-Hooter’s waitress, and ex-pro wrestler, as she’s forced to make her way with a new baby, a mounting pile of bills and a dwindling amount of ways to pay them. Based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel. Apple Important names: Stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman, and Michelle Pfeiffer. When you can watch: Margo’s Got Money Troubles will premiere on April 15, 2026. The Savant What it’s about: A limited series about an undercover investigator known as “The Savant” who infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act. Important names: Written and showrun by Melissa James Gibson, starring Jessica Chastain in the lead role. When you can watch: The Savant was scheduled to release on September 26, 2025, but the release currently says “at a later date.” Further Out These shows, series, and movies may or may not have been officially announced, and do not yet have definitive release dates. Some may debut in the next few months, others be more than a year away. It’s even possible that some of these projects will never be released. Neuromancer What it’s about: A new 10-episode drama based on the award-winning novel of the same name by William Gibson. The series will follow a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets. Important names: Created for TV by Graham Roland and JD Dillard. Stars Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Joseph Lee, and Mark Strong. When you can watch: Neuromancer is in production now but does not yet have a release date. Ted Lasso (season 4) What it’s about: Apple’s biggest show was thought to be over for good, but Apple announced it’s coming back for a 4th season, with Jason Sudeikis returning in the title role. Important names: Stars Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, Hannah Waddington, and Juno Temple. When you can watch: Apple has not yet announced when season 4 of Ted Lasso will premiere. Lucky What it’s about: A limited series about a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past. Based on the novel “Lucky” by Marissa Stapley. Important names: Stars Anya Taylor-Joy, co-showrunners Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas. When you can watch: Lucky does not yet have a release date. The Dispatcher What it’s about: A 6-episode thriller about a police detective whose life fell apart 10 years ago when his young daughter Maggie disappeared without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, he receives a distress call from a young girl he is certain is Maggie, he will stop at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost. Adapted from Ryan David Jahn’s book. Important names: Starring Patrick Brammall, adapted by writer Kris Mrksa. When you can watch: The Dispatcher does not yet have a release date. For All Mankind (season 5) What it’s about: The fifth and likely final season of the sci-fi epic that imagines an alternate reality where the Soviet Union beat the United States to the moon, and the decades of space race that follows. Important names: Produced by Ronald D. Moore, starring Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Coral Peña, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, and more. When you can watch: The fifth season of For All Mankind does not yet have a premiere date. Star City What it’s about: A spin-off of the For All Mankind universe, Star City takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program. Important names: Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, the creators of For All Mankind. When you can watch: Star City does not yet have a release date. Imperfect Women What it’s about: A limited series based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name. It is described as “an unconventional psychological thriller examining a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women.” Important names: It will star and be produced by Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington. When you can watch: Imperfect Women has no release date yet. Speed Racer What it’s about: A live-action series based on the beloved Japanese animated show from the ’60s. Important names: Will be produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production company, with Hiram Martinez and Ron Fitzgerald as writers and showrunners. When you can watch: Speed Racer has no release date yet. The White Darkness What it’s about: A limited series based on David Grann’s nonfiction book about Henry Worsley, who crossed Antarctica on foot. Important names: Tom Hiddleston stars, Soo Hugh directs. When you can watch: The White Darkness has no release date yet. Untitled Negro League Baseball series What it’s about: Follows the life and career of legendary pitcher Leroy “Satchel” Paige. Important names: The series is produced by Erving “Magic” Johnson, among others. It is in conjunction with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and MLB. When you can watch: This series has no release date yet. Untitled Chuck Barris drama What it’s about: Gong Show host Chuck Barris famously claimed to be a secret CIA assassin in his autobiography Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which was made into a feature film in 2002. A Deadline report says Apple is developing an hour-long drama series about Barris as both Gong Show host and CIA assassin. Important names: Justin Timberlake is attached to star as Chuck Barris. When you can watch: This series has no release date yet. Dolly What it’s about: Deadline describes it as a “sci-fi courtroom drama in which a robotic ‘companion doll’ kills its owner and then shocks the world by claiming that she is not guilty and asking for a lawyer.” Important names: Florence Pugh and Vanessa Taylor are attached to star and Drew Pearce will write the script. When you can watch: No release date yet. Bride What it’s about: Deadline reports that this is a genre-bending film about an engineered “ideal wife” who rejects her creator, escapes captivity, and discovers her true self. Important names: The film will star Scarlett Johansson and will be directed by Sebastián Lelio. When you can watch: No release date yet. Earthsound What it’s about: A natural history documentary series that uses new audio technology and cinematic 360-degree audio to reveal untold nature stories from every continent. Important names: It will be executive produced by Alex Williamson, and the series producer is Sam Hodgson. When you can watch: No release date yet. Untitled Idris Elba spy thriller What it’s about: According to Variety, this is to be a “spy movie with romance set in Africa” but little else is known about the nascent project. The report says it’s early in production. Important names: The film will star Idris Elba and is produced by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon. When you can watch: No release date yet. Hedy Lamarr series What it’s about: According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s an eight-episode series about the 1930s and 40s actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr (whose frequency-hopping radio technology is still the basis for many modern wireless communications). Important names: Gal Gadot is set to star as Lamarr, with a script written by Sarah Treem. When you can watch: No release date yet. Where the Wild Things Are What it’s about: Apple has struck an overall deal with The Maurice Sendak Foundation to produce shows or series based on the author’s works for children. The most famous of these, by far, is Where the Wild Things Are. Important names: Apple is working with longtime Sendak collaborator Arthur Yorinks and his production studio Night Kitchen Studios. When you can watch: No release date yet. Custom of the Country What it’s about: A limited-series adaptation of the Edith Wharton novel The Custom of the Country. The novel, published in the early 20th century, is about a midwestern girl who climbs the ladder of New York high society. Important names: The big one is Sofia Coppola, who is developing the series for Apple. No word yet on whether she will direct it. When you can watch: No release date yet. El Gato Negro What it’s about: Based on Richard Dominguez’s comic book about an aging luchador who teams up with his grandson to use the El Gato Negro persona to fight crime in South Texas. Important names: Robert Rodriguez will direct and produce, while Diego Boneta will star and also produce. When you can watch: No release date yet. Brie Larson CIA biography series What it’s about: A report in Variety says that Apple has made a direct-to-series order for a new drama based on the real-life experiences of CIA undercover operative Amaryllis Fox. Fox has a hot novel named Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA that released in October 2019. Important names: Brie Larson will star and executive produce the series. When you can watch: No release date yet. You Think It, I’ll Say It What it’s about: According to Variety, Apple has ordered a 10-episode, half-hour run of a new comedy variety show. The show is inspired by Curtis Sittenfeld’s collection of short stories You Think It, I’ll Say It. Important names: SNL alum Kristen Wiig was set to star, but pulled out citing scheduling conflicts with Wonder Woman 1984. Macworld iOS 26.2 has arrived just in time for the weekend. While the update isn’t a major overhaul, it brings numerous changes and refinements, including more Liquid Glass tweaks. More importantly, iOS 26.2 brings a series of minor new features throughout the system that will surprise and delight iPhone users. Here are all the new iOS 26.2 features you’ll want to check out right away: Liquid Glass Lock Screen slider After listening to user feedback, Apple added a new option to iOS 26.1 that lets users choose between the traditional Liquid Glass look and a “Tinted” mode that makes everything more frosted. Now with iOS 26.2, there’s also a similar adjustment for the clock on the Lock Screen. Thanks to a new slider in the Lock Screen options, users can adjust the transparency of the clock to make it more or less “Liquid.” The option to make the clock completely solid remains, and users can still choose between different colors. iOS 26.2 lets you adjust the Liquid Glass intensity on the Lock Screen.Foundry Liquid Glass Measure app Apple continues expanding its new design language across the system, and the Measure app is the latest to get the Liquid Glass treatment. With iOS 26.2, the app’s controls, buttons, and panels adopt the same translucent, fluid look introduced earlier this year. The interface feels more consistent with the rest of iOS. Functionality remains the same, but the updated visuals help modernize an app that hadn’t seen a significant UI refresh in a while. The Measure app got a Liquid Glass update in iOS 26.2.Foundry Auto chapters in Podcasts Although Apple Podcasts already had a chapter selector, it required the podcast creator to set them manually. iOS 26.2 automatically creates chapters based on the content transcript, so you can easily jump to a specific part of an episode. In addition, the app now detects mentions of another podcast available on the platform and then provides the user with a link to listen to that episode. Improved Sleep Score Another new feature introduced with iOS 26 is Sleep Score, which ranks the user’s sleep quality based on data obtained from the Apple Watch. This includes things like how long you sleep, bedtime, and interruptions. With iOS 26.2, Apple is making fine adjustments to Sleep Score, which now provides a more accurate score for each category. These are the new scores for each level: Very High: 96-100 High: 81-95 OK: 61-80 Low: 41-60 Very Low: 0-40 The Sleep Score is improved in iOS 26.2.Foundry Set reminders as alarms With iOS 26.2, users can choose to display reminder notifications as alarms. Instead of a banner, the reminder will take up the entire screen with an audible alert, just like traditional alarms set in the Clock app. You can snooze the reminder or slide to stop it. It’s worth noting that the feature is optional, which means you can continue using the Reminders app with classic notifications if you prefer. AirDrop PIN AirDrop is also gaining a new feature with iOS 26.2. When you’re using AirDrop with someone who isn’t in your contacts list, AirDrop will show a PIN code to be entered on the other device, similar to Apple TV pairing. Doing this adds the other device to a list of known devices for 30 days. So the next time, you can quickly use AirDrop with that person without changing any settings or entering the PIN again. You can now secure AirDrop interactions with a pin code in iOS 26.2.Foundry Apple News shortcuts With the update, Apple News users will find new shortcuts with quick access to specific sections of the News app. These include Sports, Puzzles, Politics, and Food. The shortcuts are shown on the Apple News app home screen, as well as in the Search tab. Freeform app tables Apple’s Freeform whiteboarding app, which lets users sketch, brainstorm, organize notes, and more on an infinite canvas, is getting a powerful tool in iOS 26.2: tables. After updating to iOS 26.2, you’ll see the new option to add tables alongside the existing options for creating notes and adding shapes. Tables can be customized with multiple rows and columns. AirPods Live Translation in the EU One of the biggest new features in iOS 26 is Live Translation for AirPods. As the name suggests, this feature allows users to talk to people who speak a different language, with the earbuds translating the conversation in real time. The feature was previously only available in a few regions, but iOS 26.2 expands it to more countries. The feature is now enabled for all users in the European Union. It’s worth noting that AirPods Live Translation only works with AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods 4. The feature is available in English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Update to iOS 26.2 Functionality remains the same, but the updated visuals help modernize an app that hadn’t seen a significant UI refresh in a while. Today's claim from the Chinese social media account broadly aligns with reports from Bloomberg and Korean media indicating the iPad mini will get an OLED display as soon as 2026. Corroborating previous rumors, Instant Digital says Apple will make the iPad mini the second model in its iPad lineup to adopt OLED display technology, followed by the iPad Air – likely in 2027 at the earliest. Last year, developer Simon Støvring came out with a fun little holiday-themed Mac app called Festivitas. Festivitas adds colorful string lights to your Mac's dock and menu bar, and this year, it can do even more. Festivitas received a 2025 holiday update today, and now it supports gently falling snow for an even cozier feel. Snow interacts with the mouse cursor, parting around it, and if you have a second or third display, snow expands across all of your monitors. Lights and snow can now be set to start at a specific time with a new Shortcuts integration. There are new light options for 2025, including color presets and the option to choose from tons of different shapes. You can customize light shapes, color, size, opacity, drop height, cable thickness, and more in the Settings. Lights can animate, and there are pulse, twinkle, chase, and wave patterns. Snow can also be adjusted with options for amount, flake size, fall speed, and wind. Snow and lights can be displayed over all of your app windows, or just on the desktop, which is nice for a more minimal holiday experience. You can import and export color palettes, and customize your color selections. Like last year, the Mac app requires accessibility features to add lights to the dock, which the app prompts you to grant when starting it up for the first time. Festivitas also now works with the iPad and the iPhone in addition to the Mac. On the ‌iPhone‌ and ‌iPad‌, lights can be added to the Home Screen using widgets, with customization options to change the aesthetic. The lights are designed to be put around photos, which is a cute effect. Satechi FindAll Review: Rechargeable AirTag Alternatives With Find My Support
Satechi offers several accessories that include Find My integration, all of which either have more convenient form factors than the AirTag or expanded versatility. The Satechi FindAll range includes a Passport Cover, Glasses Case, Luggage Tag, Card, and Keychain, several of which I've been testing for the last few months. The entire range is made from a vegan leather material that's pleasant to the touch while also durable, and colors that include Black, Sand, and Desert Rose. Prices are all from $30 to $60, and Satechi often has sales. FindAll Glasses Case The $50 FindAll Glasses case has a triangle shape that should fit most glasses and sunglasses options, though I think it could struggle to fit some of the sunglasses with wider lenses. It opens up fully for access to glasses, and then folds into thirds with a magnetic flap to seal it up. Size wise, this isn't exactly a compact case. I wouldn't want to carry it in a smaller purse or backpack, but it fits well in a larger bag. It's rigid, so it offers protection for glasses even if it's tossed in a bag with a bunch of other items. The case is 6.4 inches long, 2.7 inches wide, and 2.6 inches tall. When it's not in use, you can fold it flat. I have the black version, and it doesn't seem to show fingerprints or wear even after a few months of use. The lighter colors might be easier to stain, but the vegan leather that Satechi is using seems durable. I like the idea of a glasses case with ‌Find My‌, but it only seems useful for a person with a lot of discipline. If I'm losing my sunglasses, it's because I'm not putting them back in the case, not because I misplace the case. I've never been good about returning my glasses to their case, but even if I was, I'm not sure I'd lose the case. I usually have the case in my bag or in one spot in my house, so it's just not an item I tend to lose. With that technicality out of the way, it's a useful case. It offers solid protection, and it could be useful to have if you're often traveling or tend to swap glasses and put one in the case while wearing another. People who do that might have more of a tendency to put the case somewhere random. Satechi says the case is compatible with the VITURE Pro XR glasses, XReal Air 2, and Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, and it makes sense to use with those. The back of the case has a circle on it, to denote where the magnetic charging ring is located. It's able to charge via MagSafe or Qi, and it only needs to be charged every eight months or so. There's a little LED that comes on when it's attached to a charger, so you can tell when it's done. It has all of the same ‌Find My‌ capabilities as any ‌Find My‌ device, including alerts, sound options, and more, but I'll have more to say about it below. FindAll Luggage Tag The $45 FindAll Luggage Tag is a clever combination of a luggage tag and an ‌AirTag‌. If it didn't mention ‌Find My‌ on the inside of the tag, I'm not sure anyone would view it as anything other than a typical luggage tag. It's 3.3 inches tall and 2.9 inches wide. It's basically a circle-shaped tag with an openable front that includes a piece of paper where you can write down your information. An adjustable buckle with three holes can attach to your luggage or a bag, and like the glasses case, it charges via Qi or ‌MagSafe‌. I like the premium look and feel of the FindAll Luggage Tag. I generally think it's probably safer to have a tracker inside of a suitcase, but because of the buckle, this isn't going to snap off or come loose without effort. The vegan leather material feels sturdy, and it's stitched well. I pulled on it as hard as I could and even lifted a fully packed suitcase by the tag, and so far there's no damage. The flip-down front that houses your personal information is great, but I do wish the plastic cover inside came up a little higher. One thing I'm always worried about with a luggage tag is it getting wet or damaged in some way. There is partial protection for the paper inside the FindAll Luggage Tag and the magnet snaps closed tight, but I still worry a little about water intrusion. FindAll Card The $35 FindAll Card is a card-shaped ‌Find My‌ device that's meant to be tucked inside a wallet. There are a lot of these kinds of ‌Find My‌ wallet devices available now, including some that are super cheap on Amazon, but I like the peace of mind of having something from a reputable brand. Satechi's version is credit card sized (3.35 inches long by 2.13 inches wide), and it fits into the credit card section of any wallet. It's 0.09 inches thick, which isn't the thinnest card that I've tested, but it's also not the thickest. Satechi designed it with beveled edges, and that helps it look and feel slimmer than it is. The card comes in black, beige, and pink, and it is nice to have an option other than black available. I tested the black, and the glossy material that it's made from is shiny and smooth to the touch, but it's going to pick up fingerprints. I like the smooth texture because it slips into a wallet easily, plus it's IP66 water resistant so if your wallet falls out of your pocket into a puddle, it'll still be locatable. The FindAll Card is nondescript with just a small Satechi logo on the front. If someone stole your wallet, it could potentially be mistaken for a keycard, but a savvy thief would probably know exactly what it is. I like the card-style item trackers because you can also tuck them inside other things. I put one in my planner so I don't misplace it, and they also work in books, sunglasses cases, laptop cases, my Steam Deck case, and other slimmer, flatter items where an ‌AirTag‌ isn't the best option. The FindAll Card charges via ‌MagSafe‌ or Qi, which is convenient. I haven't had to recharge it yet, but Satechi says it lasts for up to 16 months before needing a recharge. I think it's got the longest battery life of any card that I've tested so far. FindAll Keychain Satechi's $30 FindAll Keychain is one of my favorite keychain-style ‌Find My‌ items. It's larger than an ‌AirTag‌ with a square shape (1.3 inches square), but it also has an integrated battery and a keyring at the top so I can attach it to anything without having to get an additional accessory. I like the soft-touch vegan leather material in this form factor, and it's lightweight at 14.3 grams even with the metal keyring. The leather material feels strong, so even though there's just a loop of material holding the keychain to the keyring, it doesn't feel like it's going to come apart. Like the rest of the Satechi FindAll line, the FindAll Keychain can be popped onto a Qi or ‌MagSafe‌ charger when it's out of battery, and that's a huge benefit over AirTags. I am bad about ordering new ‌AirTag‌ batteries and swapping them out when they die, and rechargeable batteries are so much more convenient. Satechi says the battery can last for up to 12 months without needing to be recharged. Find My Integration All of Satechi's FindAll devices can be added to the Items tab in the ‌Find My‌ app, so you can track them right alongside AirTags and your other Apple devices. Satechi's products are almost identical in functionality to the ‌AirTag‌, but there is no Precision Finding. Precision Finding requires Ultra Wideband (UWB), and these don't support it. That makes a big difference when you want something that you can locate precisely indoors, but less of a difference tracking at long range. If you lose your keys indoors and often need to hunt them down, the option to play a sound helps, but the ability to get directed right to them over short distances with Precision Finding is unbeatable. The FindAll accessories are limited to Bluetooth 5.4, which isn't as precise. Satechi says there's a Bluetooth range of 10 to 20 meters when indoors, and 20 to 50 meters when outdoors. When you're out of Bluetooth range, you can use the ‌Find My‌ network. The FindAll devices connect to the same ‌Find My‌ network as the ‌AirTag‌, allowing you to leverage Apple products owned by other people to track your items even over great distances. As long as there's an Apple device with cellular or Wi-Fi near a ‌Find My‌ item, it can relay its location back to you. There is a built-in Play a Sound feature, and Satechi's products all list an 80 to 90 decibel range. It's loud enough to hear indoors if you're in the same room and it's buried in a bag or a wallet. Outdoors was a little tougher with loud ambient noise, but between the Bluetooth range and the sound, I was able to find the Keychain after tossing it into the woods. Outdoors, the ‌Find My‌ app is able to direct me close enough to the area of the FindAll device is located to hear it making a sound, provided it's not muffled the fabric of a bag or something similar. Item Left Behind notifications are available too, and that's one of the most useful features of a ‌Find My‌ device or an ‌AirTag‌. You can get a notification when you get out of range of your item, which immediately alerts you if you've left behind your keys, wallet, bag, or whatever else is attached to one of Satechi's FindAll devices. You can also share item locations with other people, so if your luggage is lost at the airport, you can allow an airline employee access to the FindAll device to track it down. Similarly, you can share locations with family members, and set it up to provide your name and information when an item you've lost is located by someone else. Bottom Line Satechi's FindAll series is an upgrade over the ‌AirTag‌ with different form factors and the option to recharge via ‌MagSafe‌ or Qi, but it does lack Precision Finding. For something that you're likely to lose indoors or in close quarters where it's difficult to hear sound, it might be worth opting for an ‌AirTag‌ for access to Precision Finding, but for general tracking and item left behind notifications, Satechi's trackers are great. I've been using a couple of ‌Find My‌ items without Precision Finding for several years now, and I've never missed it. My wallet, for example, has a ‌Find My‌ card, and I always get item left behind notifications and can accurately track its location when I've left it behind. Basically, Bluetooth tracking will bring you to the house that an item is in, but Precision Finding can help you locate where it is inside the house as long as you're very close. Sometimes that functionality can be replaced with sound, and sometimes it can't. The Satechi FindAll devices have been with me for about six months, and I haven't run into problems with them. Batteries have not run out, the notifications have been reliable, and I've been able to put them to the test multiple times. I have run into some item trackers that die a few months after purchase or stop working in some capacity, but so far, Satechi's products are performing well. In terms of price, some of Satechi's products are more expensive than the ‌AirTag‌ (which is $29), but there are frequent discounts that drop the price of items like the Keychain below ‌AirTag‌ pricing. As part of the directive, Apple must now ensure that profile names of unknown iMessage senders are either not displayed or are shown less prominently than the phone numbers associated with the account. Authorities said this requirement is intended to give users a clearer view of the identity information least susceptible to manipulation. Messages or group chats that appear to spoof government identifiers must either be blocked entirely or filtered so that recipients do not see them. Apple's compliance will require changes to iMessage's display logic and name-handling behavior in Singapore, creating an exception to the platform's long-standing reliance on unverified user-defined sender names in one-to-one and group messaging threads. iMessage does not currently use a sender ID registry or external name verification scheme, and the new rules mark one of the first instances of a government requiring compulsory filtering for specific categories of display names within Apple's messaging ecosystem. The MHA said Apple and Google have indicated that they will comply with the directive. Foldable iPhone Could Cost $2,400
Apple's foldable iPhone could be priced at $2,399, according to an estimate shared by analyst Arthur Liao at Fubon Research. There have been a range of price estimates, from as low as $1,800 to as high as $2,500, and the latest estimate falls on the higher side. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said he expects the ‌iPhone‌ Fold to cost between $2,000 and $2,500, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman expects it to be somewhere around $2,000. The foldable ‌iPhone‌ will be expensive because of the premium components that Apple plans to use. The display panel and hinge will push pricing toward the upper end of market expectations, Fubon Research suggests. Demand for the device will depend on the price that Apple sets, but Fubon believes that Apple could sell around 5.4 million units in 2026. Global smartphone demand could fall during the year, and foldables will be the "only spotlight" in the 2026 smartphone market. The report says that Apple is also working on camera upgrades for 2026, with the first variable aperture lens planned for the iPhone 18 Pro models. Anthropic Launches Claude Opus 4.5 With Improved Coding and Agent Capabilities
Anthropic today announced the launch of Claude Opus 4.5, which it says is the "best model in the world for coding, agents, and computer use." It's improved over prior models for everyday tasks like deep research, and it is a "step forward in what AI systems can do." According to feedback Anthropic received from early testers, Claude Opus 4.5 can complete tasks that were impossible for Sonnet 4.5, and that it is able to handle ambiguity and reason about tradeoffs without hand-holding. The Opus 4.5 model offers better vision, reasoning, mathematics skills, and coding than prior versions of Claude. Along with the Opus update, Anthropic is updating its apps, the Claude Developer Platform, and Claude Code. There are tools for longer-running agents, and options to use Claude in Excel, Chrome, and on the desktop. In the Claude apps, users will no longer run into limits during a long conversation. Claude is able to automatically summarize earlier context, which means the conversation can keep going endlessly. Claude for Chrome is available to all Max users, and Claude for Excel beta access is now available to all Max, Team, and Enterprise users. Claude Code is now available in the desktop app, and with Opus 4.5, it is able to build more precise plans and execute them more thoroughly. Claude is able to ask clarifying questions upfront and then build a user-editable plan before executing. Claude Opus 4.5 is available today across Anthropic's apps and its API. OpenAI today added a new shopping research feature to ChatGPT, which is meant to help you find the right products for everything from simple household products to gifts. You can tell ChatGPT what you're looking for, and shopping research will build a guide to help you make decisions on what to purchase. OpenAI says that it will ask smart clarifying questions, research deeply across the internet, review quality sources, and use context from prior conversations to build a personalized buyer's guide that's up-to-date. It is built to perform particularly well in detail-heavy categories like electronics, beauty, home and garden, kitchen and appliances, and sports and outdoor. The research feature includes comparisons, constraints, tradeoffs, and more for product selections. ChatGPT will suggest shopping research automatically when you ask it a shopping-related question, but you can also select "shopping research" from the "+" menu. When a research session has begun, ChatGPT will open a visual interface where you can share feedback to guide the research, providing feedback on what you're interested in. You'll need to click through to a retailer's site to make a purchase, but eventually, ChatGPT will be able to make automatic purchases through ChatGPT when shopping from merchants that are part of Instant Checkout. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and io Products creator Jony Ive forged a friendship that led to OpenAI's acquisition of io, and subsequently, an AI-based hardware product that both Altman and Ive believe is a reimagination of what it means to use a computer. The duo recently did an interview with Emerson Collective founder Laurene Powell Jobs, providing insight into what they're working on. There's now an established hardware prototype, and while Altman and Ive didn't explain what it is in plain language, the interview has hints of its design and functionality. Here are several ways that Altman and Ive described their AI hardware device: It breaks the constraints of the "same kind of computer that we've been using for a long time." Research started with a question about what it means that the device "is going to be able to know everything you've ever thought about, read, said?" It will be a "sort of active participant" that's proactive in "a not annoying way." Current devices and apps are like "walking through Times Square in New York" with flashing lights, crowds of people, noises, etc. It "doesn't make our lives peaceful and calm" or let us "focus on other stuff," which is what Ive and Altman wanted to address. If you have an AI that you trust to do things for you and filter things out with "incredible contextual awareness of your whole life," then you can go for a vibe that's not walking through Times Square. Ive and Altman's device aims to bring some of the spirit of "sitting in the most beautiful cabin by a lake and in the mountains and just sort of enjoying the peace and calm." Ive said he prefers solutions that "teeter on appearing almost naive in their simplicity and their feel." He also likes "incredibly intelligent, sophisticated products that you want to touch" and use "almost carelessly." Ive told Altman that the design is right when you "want to lick it or take a bite out of it," and with the current prototype, Altman got that feeling. "The degree to which Jony chipped away at every little thing that this doesn't need to do or that doesn't need to be there is remarkable." "There's something about when a design gets like so simple and beautiful. And playful, for lack of a better word." There aren't a lot of products with "humor" in "this area" and there is a desire "not to take ourselves quite so seriously even though these are serious times." Altman said that early on, Jony said "we are going to make people smile. We're going to make people feel joy. Whatever the product does, it has to do that." Altman said it's "lovely" to "have some whimsy back." The prototypes are "jaw-droppingly good" and "exciting." Rumors have described the device that io is working on as an AI phone without a screen, a "third core device" after a MacBook and an iPhone that's unobtrusive and able to sit in a pocket or on a desk, an iPod Shuffle-sized device that's neck worn, and a pocket-sized gadget that's screen-free but contextually aware of your life with microphones and cameras. It is not any kind of wearable like glasses, a watch, or earbuds. Ive and Altman expect to have a device ready to hit the market in less than two years from now. Apple is making cuts and has laid off dozens of people in sales roles, reports Bloomberg. Apple is aiming to simplify the way that it sells products to businesses, schools, and governments. Affected employees received notice over the past couple of weeks, and positions eliminated include account managers for large businesses, schools, and government agencies, plus staff at Apple's briefing centers for major customers. Employees were reportedly surprised by the layoffs, but they are able to apply for other positions within Apple. Apple told Bloomberg that it is making changes in its sales team to better connect with customers. To connect with even more customers, we are making some changes in our sales team that affect a small number of roles. We are continuing to hire and those employees can apply for new roles. While Apple says it is restructuring some of the sales team, affected employees apparently believe that Apple wants to move more sales to third-party retailers. Pushing sales through retailers allows Apple to save money by cutting salary costs. Apple is giving employees over a month to find a new role. Apple is making progress on the development of the book-style foldable iPhone expected in 2026, according to a report from Chinese site UDN. The device has reportedly entered the engineering validation stage, and Apple is gearing up for mass production. Citing supply chain sources, UDN says that Apple has solved "the crease problem" that has plagued most foldable smartphones, and the foldable ‌iPhone‌ will be the first crease-free foldable smartphone on the market. We've heard multiple prior rumors about Apple's intensive work on the hinge and display to minimize creasing, so this isn't the first time the foldable ‌iPhone‌ has been rumored to have a seamless screen. Apple is using an inner screen designed by Samsung, but the panel structure, lamination method, and material process was designed by Apple. Apple worked with its suppliers to come up with a hinge design that prevents a permanent crease, and the hinge will adopt Liquid Metal components. By using Liquid Metal, Apple was able to design an ‌iPhone‌ that has a durable hinge that still has a slim design. Apple will allegedly call the device the "‌iPhone‌ Fold," which is the name sites have already adopted when sharing rumors about the product. Gemini for Mac OS X great at blasting away duplicate files

MacPaw’s Gemini (http://macpaw.com/gemini), a Mac-only duplicate finder and cleaner, is a great companion app for the company’s CleanMyMac, which frees wasted memory on your Mac. BookArc makes it easy to use Retina MB Pro as your main machine
