Mac Winsoft has released XType, a typing tutor solution for Mac OS X (10.6 or later). It’s available for US$14.99 at the Mac App Store in the Education category.
Developed specifically for Mac laptop and desktop owners looking to master the skill of typing, this application utilizes a structured approach to turn even the most complete computer novices into keyboarding whizzes quickly and efficiently, according to the folks at Mac Winsoft. XType includes 15 sequentially more difficult lessons.
The app offers both English and Arabic language. XType’s learning modules are structured to keep users challenged and engaged as the move through the course and begin typing more efficiently. What’s more, each of the app’s levels are comprised of an array of diverse exercises, with some focused on teaching users correct on-keyboard finger positions, others focused on pushing students to type at higher speeds, and more. Level 15 is structured as a final exam.
