SyGem Software has announced Chain Word+ 1.0 for iOS. It’s an US$0.99 word game where players start with a three or four-letter word and then make new words from it. The player can add, remove, change, or swap any letter in the original word, repeating the process to continue making new words from three to seven letters long. Uncommon letters have higher values, and score multipliers increase with each word made. Competition play enforces a ten-second limit per word, but the limit is adjustable.

Neoappz has released Places Around 1.0, a $1.99 lifestyle app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows you to find places in your surroundings. Places Around features a category search that provides one tap access to over 35 common categories such as restaurants, ATMs, gas stations, parking, shopping malls and more.

So Ouat has introduced The Adventures of Peter Pan for iOS devices. Designed for children ages 3 to 10, the $3.99 app introduces a new generation to the adventures of Wendy, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell in an interactive story.

Cliqueyou has launched Mathris HD 1.0, the iPad version of their addictive math arcade game. In the $0.99, Tetris-style math game numbered balls continuously drop into the screen. The player’s aim is to prevent the screen from filling up by eliminating the balls. The more balls you touch to reach the target number, the higher your score.

MarsApp has debuted Christmas Face 1.0, a $1.99, holiday themed camera app for iOS devices. It allows you to select an existing photo from your album or take a realtime themed picture from the camera. You can costume yourself to become Santa Claus, a Xmas girl wearing a Christmas hat and more.

Rainbow Stories has presented Christmas Puzzle for Kids 1.0 for iOS. In the $0.99 jigsaw puzzle app, each of the 13 different Christmas scenes can be set to easy, medium or hard. Featuring puzzle pieces that double in size when touched, kids can create a large picture from small pieces that are presented just two at a time. The expansion of pieces, dragging them on to the picture, and placing them correctly or incorrectly are all animated actions with sound effects.

Saffron Byte has developed Sparky, The Christmas Elf 1.0 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In the $0.99 game the players’ objective is to catch as many Christmas presents while avoiding dangerous items. It also allows the player to customize game play by upgrading different power-ups. This game is Game Center enabled with 28 achievements.

1Tapps has created 1TapSettings WebApp 1.0 for iOS. The free app purportedly eliminates the time required to launch the iOS Settings App.

feiPhone.com has developed Air Printer for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running on iOS 4.2 or later. The $2.99 mobile printing resource gives users the power to virtually print documents and opened content from their personal Macs right onto their iOS devices, and even from one iOS device straight to another.

Pixowl has served up Doodle Grub Christmas Edition. It’s described as a free “iPhone snake game.”

Now complementing The Beatles’ music library in iTunes is a new tablet-friendly guide to the Fab Four’s music catalog. The $9.99 app was created by Rolling Stone, thanks in part to Managing Editor, an Adobe premier development partner. The iPad app version of “The Beatles Ultimate Album-by-Album Guide” special-interest publication is now available for download.

GlasseyStrategy has given us StratPad 1.0 for the iPad. With the app owners and managers of small and medium-sized companies create and execute their complete business strategy in a step-by-step fashion. StratPad is being offered at an introductory price of US$4.99 through Dec. 2.

Flight Unlimited 1.0 has soared from TAS Game. The $2.99 flight simulator game for iOS devices lets you fly throughout a city and explore over 100 buildings and streets.

Laugh Synth is a new $0.99 laugh synthesizer for the iPhone and iPad. With it you can create, sample or synthesize laughs with your device.

IQideas have ported their table top game, the miQube Boardgame and Puzzle, to the iPad. miQube 3D combines the challenge of the Rubiks Cube with the fun and excitement of Tetris. It has three different levels of difficulty’ the goal of the game is to place colored pieces on a grid to make shapes of varying degrees of complexity. miQube 3D Lite is a free game containing 15 challenges to solve. The full miQube 3D app contains 126 challenges over six different levels, and is available for a limited time for $0.99.

Judge Dredd vs. Zombies from Fuse Powered has shambled onto the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In the $0.99 game, players are the law, taking on the role of one of the comic book heroes, Judge Dredd, who is battling invading zombies.
