Apple has readjusted its total order volume for iPhones — consisting of the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA and upcoming iPhone 5 — for the second half of 2011 by 12-13%, from 50 million units originally estimated at the end of the second quarter of 2011 to more than 56 million units, according to “DigiTimes” (http://macte.ch/s7O7L).

The iPhone 5 will account for 25.5-26 million units, the article adds, quoting Taiwan-based supply chain makers. Next gen Apple smartphone oders for the third quarter of 2011 have been lowered from seven million units to 5.5-6 million units, while fourth-quarter orders have been raised from 14 million units to more than 20 million units, says “DigiTimes.”
