Online market for digital goods to grow with no end in sight

No doubt the worldwide online market for digital goods will grow amid a state of continuous disruption across all forms of content markets — and Apple looks like the best company to capitalize on this.

iPad to grab 51% of tablet market this year

Apple’s iPad will grab 51% of the tablet market this year, with machines based on Google Android taking 24%, according to data from IMS Research.

As reported by “eWeek” (http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Mobile-and-Wireless/Apple-iPad-Google-Android-to-Grab-75-of-Tablet-Market-in-2010-819756), the IMS reports shows that Windows 7 will garner 10% market share, with the remaining 15% going to some proprietary and Linux-based platforms for the home.
