A survey by Cooper Murphy Webb (http://www.coopermurphywebb.com), a British copyrighting firm, shows that the iPad is the preferred method of reading newspapers and magazines among consumers already owning the device.

The poll of 1,034 UK iPad owners also found that a plurality of iPad owners prefer the device for reading books and gaming. Twenty-eight percent of those surveyed use the tablet device f20-20 hours per week.

However, the news is just as good — perhaps better — for Macs. In the Cooper Murphy Webb poll, 33% of those surveyed used a computer as their primary entertainment device. The iPad came in second with 24%, trailed by the TV (19%), mobile phone (22%) and “other” (2%).
