Calf Trail Software has released Photon Star 1.0 (http://calftrail.com/photonstar/), an US$7 helper application for iPhoto that lets a user rate pictures. It’s designed for use with an Apple remote or keyboard. You may choose an iPhoto album containing unrated photos, and Photon Star presents the photos in an uncluttered rating interface that may even be made full screen.

Renkara Media Group has announced AccelaStudy Hebrew for iPhone and iPod touch. With the addition of Hebrew, the $9.99 app is available in 18 languages. Using AccelaStudy’s award-winning language study tools, students can study Hebrew vocabulary and pronunciation. It features a 2,300 word vocabulary list divided into more than 60 subject areas, including travel, food, occupational, health and body, and more.

Hypno Therapy Direct has introduced Total Confidence & Success 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch users. The $5.99 app is a “tool for helping people transform their lives and realize their greatest potential” through a combination of audio and video aids from a hypnotherapist.

Broken Thumbs Apps has rolled out Emily’s Girl Talk 1.0, a collection of four story-telling games for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The game features the games M.A.S.H., Lemon, Cootie Catcher and the Love Game. Emily’s Girl Talk is available for $0.99 for a limited time.

Herp Games has announced Doodle Wars: Ship vs. Stick 1.0, a $0.99 shooter game in a cartoon style made exclusively for the iPhone and iPod touch. It features more than 140 evolving levels that unlock new weapons and upgrades. Players also face challenging opponents such as angry bunnies, kamikaze elephants and boss enemies like the evil pink sheep that try to keep you from reaching your goal.

Funky Visions has released Tramp Stamp 1.0, a $0.99 game for iPhone and iPod touch devices. Much like Doodle Jump and Hook Champ introduced new game play mechanics, Tramp Stamp introduces trampolines. You control a bouncing ball by tilting your device. The twist? You’re bouncing off a trampoline to stamp boxes.

Quapps Interactive has introduces Peter Dickson’s (VoiceOver Man) Pocket Announcer 1.0, a $1.99 audio-based application for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s an official application of the UK’s most popular voiceover man. Peter Dickson is the voice behind “X-Factor,” “The Brits,” “E4? and more TV and radio shows.

Logic Consulting has produced Newton’s Balls 1.0, a $1.99 Newton’s Cradle simulator for iPhone and iPod touch users. Using physics engine and leveraging the capabilities of the iPhone/iPod touch, it allows the user to move, flick, throw, and drop the balls however and wherever they like.

Plinkk Photography has shipped Second Shootr 1.1, a free update to their $6.99 iPhone and iPod touch application. Second Shootr is a digital photography assistant for professional photographers. You can use it to help you plan every aspect of your photography beforehand.

24x7digital has unveiled TeachMe: Kindergarten 2.0, an update to their children’s learning game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $0.99 educational app that teaches four age-appropriate topics to kindergartners: sight words, addition, subtraction and spelling. Version 2.0 offers enhancements such as a new achievements screen, a redesigned teaching system, more advanced spelling questions, a new sticker scene and more.

Eurocomp has rolled out PocketCAS 2.1, its computer algebra system for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a computer algebra system that turns the Apple device into a device capable of calculating complicated mathematical problems. The new version makes it even easier to access Eurocomp’s customer support from within the application. There’s a free “lite” version of PocketCAS and a regular version for $1.99.

Active Storage has introduced Active Viewer 1.1, an enhanced version of the free Active Viewer iPhone app. Designed to allow customers to monitor their Active Storage high-performance RAID systems worldwide directly from their iPhone, it’s been updated with input from customers.

The Tiffen Company has rolled out version 3.0 of its $2.99 Tiffen Photo fx creative effects software for iPhone and iPod touch owners. The new version features 67 filters organized into nine different groups and 780 presets, including filters sets previously available only as paid optional downloads.
