VMware Fusion 3 — the Best Way to Run Windows on the Mac — Now Available

VMware Fusion 3 with More than 50 New Features will be Available Worldwide
on Oct 27

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 6, 2009 — VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), the global
leader in virtualization solutions from the desktop through the datacenter
and to the cloud, today announced that VMware Fusion 3, the best way to run
Windows on the Mac, will be available worldwide on October 27 and is
available for pre-order today.

Realmac Software has acquired the Mac OS X social networking
application EventBox, which allows users to keep up to date with
multiple social networks such as Twitter, Flickr, Digg, as well as
featuring Google Reader syncing for reading RSS feeds.

EventBox, which is currently in public beta, will also be renamed
Socialite for its official launch which is currently planned for
November. Customers who previously purchased a copy of EventBox from
the original developers will receive a full license to Socialite upon
launch.

WD has introduced its new My Book Elite desktop external drives
featuring a customizable e-label that’s always visible, even when the
drive is unplugged, so you’ll know what’s on the drive and how much
space is left.

The new My Book Elite also features automatic and continuous backup
with WD SmartWare software and 256-bit hardware-based encryption.
Available now at select retailers and shopwd.com, the new My Book
Elite drives are offered in capacities of 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB.

The e-label smart display on the spine of the My Book drives can be
changed as often as you’d like.

Gaucho Software (http://www.gauchosoft.com) has released XRG 1.5. XRG
(X Resource Graph), an update of the open source system monitoring
application for Mac OS X. XRG will monitor your computer’s CPU usage,
memory usage, battery status, network activity, disk activity, and
machine temperature and fan speeds. XRG also has modules to display
your local weather and stock market data.

In addition to 64-Bit and Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) support, XRG
1.5 also has a new CPU module for users with four or more processors.

Clickfree (http://www.clickfree.com) has released the US$89.99
Transformer SE (Special Edition), which allows users to automatically
backup their irreplaceable digital photos, videos music and other
data files onto the excess storage space of any external USB hard
drive, iPod or iPhone.
