software for the 1000 and 3000 series SoftMetal Video Servers,
available free to all existing SoftMetal customers.
The upgrade includes support for the Sony BVW-75 and Odetics protocol

ActionSoft has released Insectoid

space shooter for Mac OS X. It costs US$19.95 and requires Mac OS X
10.4 or higher.

Human Software (http://www.humansoftware.com) has updated HSC Edit
for Aperture (Apple’s software for pro photographers) to version 1.8.
HSC Edit is an edit plug-in to Apple Aperture that offers more than
4,000 effects to apply on one or a set of images.
Version 1.8 lets you add text and text effects over a line or
circular on all your images.
JMR Electronics (http://www.jmr.com/), a provider of scalable storage
systems for video and data intensive applications, will be showcasing
their new BlueStor Digital Rapids and RED Video storage servers and
RAID storage systems at HD Expo— Createasphere on Wednesday, Nov.
4th and Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Burbank Marriott in Burbank,
