CTM Development has updated FoxTrot Professional Search
(http://www.foxtrot.ch/foxtrot/) — a document retrieval and indexing
utility for Mac OS X (10.4.11 and higher) — to version 2.5. The
upgrade is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”).

Version 2.5 also introduces higher performance, an expanded timeline
categorization as well as networked sharing of indexes. A
find-by-content product for mobile, legal or media professionals and
their networks, CTM FoxTrot Professional Search offers tools for
finding the proverbial “needle in a haystack” within PDF, HTML, word
processing, e-mail and rich-media metadata. Features include:
multiple categorizations of search results, relevance-ranked;
document preview and full view, with secondary document-level search;
multiple indexed collections and timed updates without the
application launched; client-server access to peer-to-peer and
dedicated CTM FoxTrot Search servers; and worldwide Unicode language
support.

When customers purchase a five-user license, the application
automatically acts as a peer-to-peer indexing server. With a 10-user
license (or more), customers receive a full fledged client-server
product with a server component that can be deployed any Mac OS X or
Windows 7/Vista/XP with file sharing enabled, as well as on Xserve
and the new Mac mini Server or Windows Server 2003, Windows Server
2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

FoxTrot Professional Search 2.5 and FoxTrot Search Server are
available immediately. A single user license is priced at
approximately US$146. A five-user license (includes peer-to-peer
sharing) is available for $294. A 10-user license also includes
FoxTrot Search Server for $577, with degressive per-seat enterprise
licenses available.

FoxTrot Professional Search 2.5 is available as a full-featured
30-day demo. FoxTrot Search Server is available as a full-featured
90-day demo. FoxTrot Professional Search 2.5 is a free update for
current FoxTrot Professional Search licensed owners, and is available
to current FoxTrot Personal Search users for the difference in price
only ($103) via a coupon e-mailed to all registered owners.
