Juice Wireless releases Mirror, Vanity for the iPhone

Juice Wireless (http://www.juicewireless.com) has released Mirror and
Vanity, two new apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. They’re available
for US$0.99 each at the Apple App Store.

With the apps you always have your reflection at hand. They use a
proprietary algorithm that instantly turns the screen black (for
maximum reflection) while offering a choice of mirror frames. Each
app comes with nine frames, ranging from “Sleek & Contemporary” with

HP Launches home server for Macs, PCs

Hewlett Packard has launched a home server
designed for use with both Mac and Windows
computers. Based on the Microsoft Windows Home
Server platform, the HP MediaSmart Server
ex485/ex487 is a central repository for
automatically backing up and accessing digital
music, videos, photos and documents from multiple
computers on a home network.

The MediaSmart Server automatically organizes
files across all computers, streams media across
a home network and the Internet, and publishes
photos to social networking and photo sharing
sites.

Animoto launches app for iPhone, iPod touch

Animoto (http://animoto.com), avideo creation platform that lets
users create videos from their own photos and music, has launched its
application for the iPhone and iPod touch. Free to download from the
Apple App Store, the application lets users automatically transform
their iPhone photos into music videos that capture the immediate,
on-the-spot energy of events, travel and other memorable moments.

Once created, videos can be shared and watched both on the iPhone and

Agenda set for FCPUG SuperMeet at Macworld

The agenda has been set for the 8th Annual FCPUG
“SuperMeet” to be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009,
at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center in San
Francisco, California. Doors open at 4:30 pm;
presentations begin at 7 pm and continue until 10
pm.

The economy might be struggling, but this year’s
SuperMeet will be the largest in its history with
