Ciprico today announced compatibility of several of its MediaVault storage arrays with the Macintosh PCI Express (PCIe) architecture for the Power Mac G5 platform. “Host Adapters on the new G5 running Final Cut Pro 5, provide data rates well in excess of the bandwidth required for recording and playing back uncompressed HD 10-bit 1080i content,” notes the company.
