No Starch Press said today that “The Cult of Mac” by Wired News reporter Leander Kahney has sold out its first printing of 10,000 copies after being in stores for only three weeks. A second printing of 10,000 copies is underway to stock store shelves. The US$39.95 book “explores the lengths to which people will go to personalize their hardware and adopt a Mac-centric lifestyle, as documented in 280 full-color pages and more than 500 original photos.

DLO: TransPod compatible with iPod photo

Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) today announced that its TransPod all-in-one car solution for iPod is fully compatible with the new iPod photo. The US$99.95 device lets owners transmit, charge and secure their iPod in while in their cars. “After extensive testing, DLO now confirms the iPod photo fits the TransPod as well as the current lineup of 3G, 4G and mini iPods,” the company said.
