Unsanity has released Silk 2.0, an update to its “haxie” that enables the Quartz text rendering and smoothing introduced in Mac OS X 10.1.5 to work in all Carbon applications, including Netscape, Mozilla, and others. Version 2.0 brings font substitution, theme font replacement, and minimum font size settings. In addition, Silk has been moved to the Application Enhancer backend and is now priced at US$10.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs received a rating of 83% for May, up from 75% in April. Rounding out the top three are John Chambers of Cisco Systems at 73% and Larry Ellison of Oracle at only 46%. Votes are now being taken for June.
