Casio introduces 4 megapixel digital camera

Casio today announced a new addition to its QV Digital Camera series, the new compact QV-R40, a 4 megapixel digital camera. The QV-R40 has 1-second power up time and a 0.01-second release time lag, according to the press release. The new camera features a high-speed telescoping optical 3X zoom lens and a high-speed startup control. The QV-R40 is priced at US$299.99 and will be available at retail in September.

Dungeon Siege 1.1.2 update released

Destineer’s MacSoft unit today announced that Dungeon Siege 1.1.2 for the Mac has been released. The updater is for the US retail version of Dungeon Siege and synchronizes the US codebase with the French and German versions to allow for international network play. Other improvements include a stabilization fix in the Loader subsystem and numerous other fixes and enhancements.

MacSoft shipping Neverwinter Nights

Destineer’s MacSoft unit today announced that Neverwinter Nights for Macintosh has shipped and will begin appearing on retail shelves as early as today. According to MacSoft GM Al Schilling, “Neverwinter Nights is the most amazing and accurate D&D experience ever seen on the Mac and it shipped from our warehouse, as promised, on Wednesday, July 30. Retailers are already beginning to receive their copies, as are customers who ordered directly from MacSoft.
