Destineer’s MacSoft unit today announced that Neverwinter Nights for Macintosh has shipped and will begin appearing on retail shelves as early as today. According to MacSoft GM Al Schilling, “Neverwinter Nights is the most amazing and accurate D&D experience ever seen on the Mac and it shipped from our warehouse, as promised, on Wednesday, July 30. Retailers are already beginning to receive their copies, as are customers who ordered directly from MacSoft. The English-language version should be available in Europe in about a week. French and German versions will be available soon.” Neverwinter Nights requires a Mac with a 450Mhz G4 (or faster) processor, 256MB RAM, 32MB video card, and 2.1GB hard disk space and a monitor with support for 800×600 or higher resolution. The game is priced at US$49.99.
