Six Apart, the company behind the popular Movable Type personal publishing system, has announced that its TypePad weblogging service will be available as a preview release on Monday, August 4.

BSDCon 2003 kicks off September 8
The fourth annual USENIX BSD Conference (BSDCon) will take place September 8-12, 2003 at the Marriott Hotel in San Mateo, California. BSDCon will offer two days of tutorials and two and a half days of technical sessions. “The combination of a technical track, invited talks, tutorials, Birds-of-a-Feather sessions, and Work-in-Progress reports provide an opportunity for people of all experience levels to learn from BSD experts, professionals with real world experience, and industry leaders.” Mac OS X’s underpinnings are built on BSD.
