WiebeTech today announced the DuoGB, which lets you use two hard drives from within a single external FireWire enclosure. The two drives will mount as separate drives under Mac OS X and OS 9. The DuoGB also takes advantage of the built in RAID capability of Mac OS X, allowing you to easily stripe or mirror the drives. The DuoGB will begin shipping next week in the following configurations: 0GB (case only) – US$179.95, 240GB/7200RPM (dual 120GB drives) – $449.95, 360GB/7200RPM (dual 180GB drives) – $639.95, and 500GB/5400RPM (dual 250GB drives) – $869.95.
