McAfee.com has told its shareholders to reject the second offer made by Network Associates to buy the remaining 25 percent of McAfee.com that it does not already own, according to a report on c|net. Network Associates offered to acquire the antivirus company for 0.90 of a share of Network Associates common stock (about US$137.7 million), which is a 15.5 percent increase over the previous offer of 0.78 per share of its company.
