Ben Kirkendoll represents a new wave of DJs who are trading their vinyl for MP3s, an Associated Press article explains. Kirkendoll uses two 10GB iPods plugged into a mixer to entertain the crowds at Brooklyn’s BQE club. “Part of the beauty of MP3s, is that a regular guy with a day job and a passion for music can be a DJ without years of practicing and thousands of dollars scouring record shops for those rare must-haves,” Kirkendoll said.
