Apple revamps downloads page

Apple has integrated its software downloads into its Knowledge Base support area. The new layout groups updates by current products for easier access, while updates for older products must be located manually through a folder hierarchy. The new format also does a way with the Recent Changes page that listed the last 50 updates that Apple had posted.

Analysts bullish that Apple will meet earnings numbers

Analysts at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter believe that Apple will reach its revenue target for the second half of the fiscal year, reports Macworld UK. The brokerage firm believes that Apple will be able to meet its US$1.6 billion estimate for the third quarter, which closes on June 30. Apple will report its third quarter earnings on July 17, one day before Steve Jobs will deliver the opening keynote to kick off Macworld Expo.

ATI, Palm report earnings

ATI today reported a third quarter loss of US$4.2 million, as revenues increased 10.1 percent sequentially to $255.9 million. ATI ended the quarter with $156.9 million in cash and cash equivalents, and expects to be about break-even next quarter. Meanwhile, Palm beat lowered estimates by reporting a loss of $89.2 million as revenue for the quarter declined more than 50 percent from the previous year, down to $165.3 million.
