ATI today reported a third quarter loss of US$4.2 million, as revenues increased 10.1 percent sequentially to $255.9 million. ATI ended the quarter with $156.9 million in cash and cash equivalents, and expects to be about break-even next quarter. Meanwhile, Palm beat lowered estimates by reporting a loss of $89.2 million as revenue for the quarter declined more than 50 percent from the previous year, down to $165.3 million. During the quarter Palm shipped 6.2 million handhelds. Shares of Palm are up 20 percent in pre-market trading.
