[MD1] MRJ 2.1 Early Access Release

The Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ) 2.1 Early Access 1 is now available for
download via the Apple web page at:

http://developer.apple.com/java/text/prerelease.html

This is the first early access release for MRJ 2.1 and a few thing should
be noted about it:

1. It is PowerPC only

2. You must install QuickTime 3.0 to use this release

3. Many of the optimizations in AWT graphics, etc. that Apple demoed at
WWDC are not in this particular release, but are slated for subsequent
early access releases.

[MD1] Mercutio MDEF 1.5.1

Digital Alchemy is pleased to announce the release of the Mercutio MDEF
version 1.5.1. Version 1.5.1 adds support for Appearance Manager 1.0.2 and
fixes a number of small bugs.

* DEVELOPERS * In addition to addition MacOS 8 support, the previously
released Mercutio 1.5 fixed a bug could crash the user’s machine.
Developers using Mercutio to display should upgrade to version 1.5 or
later.
