Public beta of Apple Music on Sonos coming Dec. 15
Apple and Sonos have announced (http://tinyurl.com/pktffbz) that Apple Music will be available in public beta on Sonos starting Dec. 15. Listeners will have the ability to stream all their favorite aspects of Apple Music, including For You, New, Radio, and My Music, through Sonos smart speakers in any room of their homes.

Orb is a new drag and drop radial contextual menu for OS X

Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) has announced details for the fuel-2017 Mitsubishi Mirage featuring Apple CarPlay support, a new exterior design, improved performance and enhanced interior appeal. The Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback will be available at dealers in spring 2016.

Archiware, manufacturer of the data management software suite Archiware P5, is launching its P5 Archive app and version 5.3 of the Archiware P5 Software Suite, including Snapshot support and LTO-7 capability.
The P5 Archive app is designed to simplify the Archiving process by allowing users to archive and restore files directly from Finder via the right-click context menu, without the need to open P5 Archive itself. CalDigit releases new USB-C docks, accessories
CalDigit (www.caldigit.com) revealed two new USB Type-C docks at Inter BEE 2015 in Japan. The first is the CalDigit USB-C Dock, and the second is the CalDigit USB-C mini Dock.
Both of these products feature USB 3.1 as well as a host of additional ports to expand USB-C enabled computers such as the 12-inch MacBook.
CalDigit is also announcing two new USB-C adapters. The US$149 CalDigit USB-C Dock (pictured) not only adds extra ports but also simultaneously charges the MacBook. The $99 CalDigit USB-C mini Dock takes the features of the CalDigit USB-C Dock and packs them into a smaller form-factor. Synology announces DiskStation DS716+ NAS server for growing...
Synology (www.synology.com) has released the DS716+, an encryption-oriented, scalable, two-bay NAS server powered by a quad-core CPU and Btrfs file system. DS716+ is aimed at SMB in need of a reliable, high-efficient storage and application server, according to Franklin Hua, product manager at Sinology.
It comes with 2GB of RAM, two Gigabit LAN ports, and a quad-core 1.6GHz CPU and can clock up to 2.08GHz and AES-NI encryption support. The DS716+ delivers transfer speed up to 218Mb/s reading and 141Mb/s writing. In addition, it allows enthusiast users to perform on the fly H.264 4K to 1080p video transcoding.
The DS716+ comes with tool-less drive bay design, hot-swappable support, and dual Gigabit LAN ports with failover support to ensure continual service. What’s more, it features three USB 3.0 ports for higher data transmission and one eSATA port as an extensive external backup option.

Tension Software has announced Precise Screenshot 1.4.1 for Mac OS X. It’s an update of the tool for taking screenshots from your Mac screen.

Khronos releases OpenCL 2.1 and SPIR-V 1.0 spec
The Khronos Group, an open consortium of leading hardware and software companies, has announced the ratification and public release of the OpenCL 2.1 and SPIR-V 1.0 specifications for heterogeneous parallel computation.
Consumption of the new SPIR-V cross-API intermediate language is guaranteed in the core OpenCL 2.1 specification. Khronos has released open source utilities and extensions to enable use of SPIR-V in OpenCL 1.2 and 2.0, as well as the upcoming Vulkan graphics API, ensuring widespread availability of its powerful runtime capabilities for developers of parallel computation languages and frameworks.
The OpenCL C++ kernel language released in the OpenCL 2.1 provisional specification is being finalized and will be released imminently, also using SPIR-V for run-time execution. The OpenCL 2.1 specification is available for immediate download at www.khronos.org/opencl/ and SPIR-V 1.0 is available at http://www.khronos.org/spir/.
Apple to power all of Singapore operations on renewable energy
Apple has struck a deal to power all of its Singapore operations with renewable energy, reports Reuters (http://tinyurl.com/o926259). It will be the first company in the city to run exclusively on renewable energy.
Starting in January, solar energy developer Sunseap Group will provide Apple with 100 percent renewable electricity from its portfolio of solar energy systems built atop more than 800 buildings in Singapore. The Apple partnership will also give Sunseap financing to complete the solar project, Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, told Reuters.
