Apple tops ‘Most Respected Companies’ list

Apple has topped “Barron’s” list of the “Most Respected Companies” (http://macte.ch/l3Oah) for the second time. The list is based a survey of professional money managers.

Per the survey, 68% of managers said they “highly respected” Apple, 22% respected the company, 8% respected Apple “somewhat” and none admitted that they “don’t respect” the company. Apple had a mean score of 4.25 out of 5.

iPad way ahead of other tablets in enterprise market

Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes tells clients in an note — as reported by “Barron’s” (http://macte.ch/rfRpL) — that he talked with a research analyst at Forrester Research and says the iPad is doing well in the corporate world.

His conclusions from the call are that the iPad is “running far ahead of its tablet competition and its their game to lose.” There is opportunity for others, including Google’s Android and for Research in Motion, Reitzes says. Apple hasn’t set up an enterprise salesforce, but it is “listening to enterprise customers,” he adds.
