L’Escapadou has released Hearts Extravaganza 1.0 for the iPad and iPhone. The app is a graphic toy that allows anyone to literally draw carefully designed and animated hearts over a canvas or pictures to create animated drawings. You can share your creations via Twitter, Facebook, or email. A heart designer is provided to customize heart color, animation effect, beat and size. Hearts Extravaganza 1.0 is priced at $0.99 USD, but will be free until Feb. 14.

Go! Tax Canada has introduced its free app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows you to file a 2010 Canadian Personal income form. Your tax return is prepared by tax professionals and electronically filed with the Canada Revenue Agency. All possible tax credits are applied. Tax documents and data are submitted with the click of your device’s camera and appropriate app technology.

Park Lane Editions has published Myanmar – Burma HD 1.0 for iPad, a pictorial journey that explores in text and pictures the historical sites in Myanmar –also named Burma — in Southeast Asia. The $1.99 app includes hundreds of HD photos in 10 chapters, Wikipedia links for more information, a thumbnail gallery, maps of Burma, a favorites library, and tips on travel and hotel.

Vangelisys has updated iDefendMe for the iPhone and iPod touch to version 1.1.3.The $0.99 app adds personalized safety and security to the Apple devices with a variety of features. DefendMe features a Panic Mode that facilitates rapid response for multiple contacts in case of emergency, instant location alerts to update parents, children or other loved ones and more.

Independent software developers Francesco Chessari and Nicola Pacini have announced Stamp Art Fever 2.0, an update to their free simulation game for iOS devices. In Stamp Art Fever, you are a stamp collector continuously searching for new pieces to add to your collection. Version 2.0 offers new features and improvements: two new Collection Theme Sets and new Game Modes like Most Wanted and xtRare stamps research.

Readdle has updated PDF Expert for iPad to version 2.1. The $9.99 app is for editing PDF forms and annotating PDF documents. Companies can equip their employees with the iPad and PDF Expert to take customer orders, fill out insurance forms, legal documents and prepare inspection reports on the go. When opened in PDF Expert, a PDF form behaves exactly like within desktop PDF editor. Text fields, check boxes, radio buttons, and other interactive elements are fully supported.

Mark Liew Coaching have released Point 2.0, an update to their $4.99 presentation tool for the iPad and iPhone. With the app you can use your iPhone to control your iPad while you deliver presentations. In addition to using your iPhone to remote control your iPad photo presentations and volume, multitouch gestures have been implemented in version 2.0.

Echofon, an UberMedia company, says Echofon 4 for the iPad and iPhone is available for free download at the Apple App Store. It is a major upgrade to the current version of the Twitter app.

YouMail (http://www.youmail.com) has announced a major update to its free iPhone Visual Voicemail Plus application, completely overhauling the app’s user interface, features, capabilities and functionality.  This new update offers iPhone users a fast option for instantly managing, sharing, storing, digitizing and transcribing voicemail. YouMail is available to post-paid mobile users in the US on all major carriers including AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile. YouMail can also be used to unify a user’s mobile voicemail with their voice messages from VOIP service providers such as Google Voice, MagicJack, OOMA, and Vonage.
