The NYTSTND is a great looking multi-device charger stand

In a previous review, I said that the Kensington StudioDock is the “ultimate” iPad Pro doc. However, I now must amend that statement and say that it’s tied with the NYTSTND, a next generation charing station. The advantage the NYTSTND has over the StudioDock is that...

Great particle system plug-in gets even better

By Jason Scrivner

Regarding Red Giant Software’s Trapcode Particular 2.0 (http://www.redgiantsoftware.com), I could basically end the review with an emphasis on the “2” (meaning 2 is better than 1) but I’d really get in trouble with the layout team. Yojimbo: an info manager that takes advantage of the Macs’ capabilities

By “Doctor Dave” Greenbaum

Yojimbo, according to my Japanese friends often translates to “bodyguard” and that’s a good name for a program that keeps and protects the little bits of information that come across our virtual desks on a daily basis. It’s no wonder Bare Bones (http://www.barebones.com) made it a featured app in the new Mac App Store.

Drive Genius 3 offers centralized support, a good PDF manual

By “Doctor Dave” Greenbaum

Drive Genius 3 is ProSoft Engineering’s (http://www.prosofteng.com) latest version of its drive manipulation and maintenance application. If you can do it to a hard drive, Drive Genius supports it with an attractive and intuitive interface. The program requires an Intel Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and 512MB of RAM, as well as a DVD drive for some functions.
