Kool Tools: 360Works Email plugin

The 360Works Email plugin for FileMaker Pro (http://www.360works.com/email-plugin/) makes FileMaker Pro into a fully functional email client, allowing users to integrate email functionality into their database solutions.

It can send and receive HTML or plain text e-mail with SMTP, POP, and IMAP from your FileMaker solution. FileMaker sports built-in mail functionality, but the 360Works Email plug-in offers some advantages.

Pad Protector is unassuming, well-priced iPad case

Newer Technology (http://www.newertech.com)’s Pad Protector is a slim, light (7.8 ounces) leather folio/carrying case for the iPad. It looks good and does its job well, though, feature-wise, there’s not a lot to differentiate it from a gazillion other iPad cases out there.

On the other hand, it’s only US$24.95 and comes with a bonus screen protector, so it’s a good buy. I must offer my usual caveat regarding screen protectors: I can never apply ’em without leaving air bubbles. But you may be better at the job than me.

The Brooklyn is two cases in one

When I’m in transit I carry two Apple devices with me: my 11-inch MacBook Air and my iPad. Now there’s no need to carry two different cases, as I put both devices into the US$99.99 Ful Brooklyn backpack (http://macte.ch/eOd9j)

Miccus BluBridge headphones rock

By ‘Doctor Dave’ Greenbaum

Whether you are listening to dance, jazz, or disco, you won’t be hearing the blues with the Miccus BluBridge headphones (http://www.miccus.com/products/blubridge-auto-talk). This headphone/hands-free combo rocks!  I am amazed at the quality of sound and ease of use coming from these unassuming headphones.
