This software rips Blu-ray discs — but it costs time, money

With Handbrake you can rip commercial DVDs to play on your Mac. But there’s been no way to do this with commercial Blu-ray discs until now. With Aiseesoft’s (http://www.aiseesoft.com/) US$39.95 Blu-ray Ripper for Mac ($39.95) , you can. However, be prepared to invest in time and money.

OWC Mercury Pro Blu-ray — burn, baby, burn!

If your hard drive is running out of room to store all the movies, music and software you’ve accumulated, maybe it’s time to get a Blu-ray burner. Kool Tool: WaterGuard Plus Waterproof Case

Ever wanted to submerge you iPad in water? If you have, you need therapy. On the other hand, if you have your Apple tablet around water very often — say, at the beach or on a boat — you do need a waterproof case. Trendy Digital (http://www.trendydigital.com) makes one in the US$23.99 Waterguard Plus Waterproof Case for the iPad.

Ricoh CX3 a sub-$400 compact camera marvel

By Daniel M. East

I was surprised by the unveiling of Ricoh’s (http://www.ricoh.com) new CX3 digital camera not too long after the CX2 arrived, but the difference between these siblings is remarkable. After spending a lot of time with both the CX1 and CX2, the CX3 had some large shoes to fill. Clearly, Ricoh is listening to its customers with this latest addition to the CX series.
