Apple Releases iOS 4.0.1, iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad

Apple has released iOS 4.0.1 for the iPhone and iPod touch and iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad. The former and includes a new signal bar algorithm that is purportedly more accurate.

Earlier this month, Apple said it has been using a “totally wrong” formula for calculating signal strength. iOS 4.0.1also sports redesigned bar graphics intended to make it easier for users to see. The update is available for free via Apple’s iTunes application on the Mac and Windows.

Polls, charts offer predictions for tomorrow’s Apple announcement

Millennial Media: Apple OS ad requests up 35% in June

Mobile ad network Millennial Media says that, globally, Apple OS requests are up by 36% in June, after dropping 33% in May, as reported by “TechCrunch” (http://macosg.me/2/jj).

iPad requests are also increasing at a fast rate, growing 206%t in June, after rising 160 % in May. In terms of ad impressions, Apple’s OS remained the leading smartphone OS on Millennial’s network in June with a 56% share of impressions and an 8% growth month-over-month.
