China Unicom signs iPad deal

China Unicom, the exclusive provider of the iPhone in China, has made a deal to sell the iPad in the country. Quoting a source from China Unicom, “Caixin Online” (http://macosg.me/2/px) reports that the company secured the deal with Apple to introduce the Apple tablet, though no timetable has been announced.

China Unicom is also slated to launch the iPhone 4 in China in early September. The iPad sold by the company will use the 3G micro sim card, which is also used in the iPhone 4 and he card will hit the markets in September, together with the launch of iPhone 4, says “Caixin Online.”
