“IT” unveiled

Dean Kamen’s highly anticipated invention, which has gone by the code words “Ginger” and “IT”, is a two-wheeled, battery-powered transportation device that can carry a rider up to 12 miles per hour, requirers just five cents of electricity for a full day’s charge, and is steered almost entirely by head movement. The New York Times has a full run-down of the device, which will officially be introduced later this morning on Good Morning America.

Iconfactory releases Alpine OS

The Iconfactory has released Kidco Alpine OS, a new collection of 88 freeware Mac OS replacement icons. This new collection contains custom folder and document replacements for the Macintosh system folder, trash can and more. In addition, Alpine OS is available as an iControl iPack, which allows users to instantly customize these items with a simple double-click.
