Adobe planning DVD authoring title

Adobe today announced that it has licensed Sonic’s DVD authoring technology, which it will use as the basis for a new DVD authoring title. “With products like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop, Adobe is already a leader in the digital video and digital imaging markets,” said Bryan Lamkin, senior vice president of Adobe Systems’ Graphics Business Unit in a statement.

Intego updates security software

Intego has released DiskGuard 2.1, a new version of its software for securing hard disks, and FileGuard 4.1, a more robust version of DiskGuard that adds file- and folder-specific access privileges. Both updates add Mac OS 9.2.2 compatibility, CD volume protection, compatibility between Mac OS X and specific disk drivers on protected disks and several important bug fixes.
