Code Folio practical, functional with just a couple of missteps

It’s hard to find an iPad case that offers something different. HEX has accomplished this with its US$79.95. Code Folio (http://www.shophex.com/product/HX1080). It’s not revolutionary, but it does offer a spin on the traditional folio case.

The Code Folio — compatible with the iPad 2 and the new iPad — combines elements of protection, accessory pockets and multiple viewing angles. It sports a a custom molded soft-touch bed.

Cintiq 24HD a top notch, hi def pen display

By Pete Collins

I’ve been a huge fan of the US$2,599 Wacom Cintiq 21UX (http://www.wacom.com), so when I heard that the new 24HD was coming out, I couldn’t wait to try it. The only downside of the 21UX is that after using it for an extended period of time, my back becomes tight due to the way it sits on the stand.

Feeling the need, the need for Speed(y for Mac)

I don’t use a lot of extra system utilities on my Mac, MenuMate and Default Folder X being the two main exceptions. So I was curious about how Speedy Mac from Apimac might change the way I work.

Speedy for Mac is an utility that lets you launch documents, folders, apps and sites. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later, costs US$9.99 and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category.
