QuickerTek’s US$149 QCard 2 brings 802.11ac wireless to the MacBook Air and Pro. 802.11ac wireless is fast — with as much as twice the speed of the previous 802.11n wireless of the built-in MacBook wireless card.

The QCard goes in the standard wireless card socket, so users don’t sacrifice a USB or other external connection port. Any MacBook Pro or Air running MacOS X 10.8.4  and a PCIe bus (which includes most newer MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models) is a candidate. Users without a PCIe bus may substitute the QuickerTek acNano USB external antenna.
