The next generation Apple Watch may add the ability to measure blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood alcohol levels, reports The Telegraph. The report bases this conclusion on the fact that Apple is the biggest customer of the British electronics start-up Rockley Photonics.
Rockley Photonics specializes in integrated optical chips and modules across multiple markets. Its focus in on healthcare, wearables, and machine vision.
The Telegraph’s conclusion makes sense considering Apple’s increasing focus on integrating health features into its products.
The Apple Watch 7 is likely to arrive in September or October along with the iPhone 13 line-up. In addition to new health sensors, it’s likely to sport an enhanced display, longer battery life, new swim-tracking features, and more.
