Tension Software updated Mac Restart for the Mac to version 2.1. The app is used for “soft” and “hard” restarts.
A soft restart is issued at the Finder level and quits all running apps before restarting the Mac. A hard restart is issued at the system level and offers a low level of probability of having the restart interrupted by an app refusing to quit.
Mac Restart 2.1 provides improved management of the Status Menu only functionality, more commands in the status menu, and an improved layout.
It requires macOS 10.10 or higher. Mac Restart costs $12 and is available at the Tension Software website.
