AT&T is the top carrier for iPhone purchases at Apple retail stores with 63%, followed by Verizon with 28% and Sprint with 9%, according to a new study by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) — as noted by “AllThingsD” (http://macte.ch/WXN9a).

Those figures are a little different for iPhone purchases at Best Buy, where AT&T tallies 60%, Verizon 21% and Sprint 19%. At other retail outlets, those figures are 55%, 275 and 18%, respectively. CIRP surveyed iPhone buyers over two three-month periods, ending March and May 2012.
