Jack Herbert has announced Band Boss for the iPhone. It’s an US$0.99 music management game that allows players to take control of a real band or solo artist. In Band Boss, the player chooses from a selection of real bands and solo artists to manage, or they can create their own band. The band starts out with little money or fame, and the player must arrange tours and release records to boost their popularity and to raise funds for the expensive studios, producers, and advertising that could push the band to the top. Buying vacations and other luxuries helps keep the band healthy and happy.

PopSip, a newcomer to the social media gaming space, says it’s released new mobile versions of PopSip for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It’s a free app that’s the basis for PopSip games that will be released in 2012.
