Strata says Strata Design 3D CXi 7.0.1, their professional 3D modeling and animation software, is now available on the Mac App Store in the Graphics & Design category. It costs US$499.
Strata Design 3D CXi provides tools for a designer to produce 3D models, renderings and animations. The seventh version is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”).
The toolset and user interface parallel the Adobe Creative Suite. The program is a valuable addition to any creative designer’s toolbox and is perfect for interactive and motion design, product and packaging design, graphic design and illustration, and environmental design, says Strata President Ken Bringhurst.
Strata offers an Adobe Connection add-in to Design 3D CXi from their own online store (http://www.strata.com). This add-on provides six plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop Extended, offering improved workflow with the image editor, in addition to import filters for Adobe Illustrator Files, PDF and U3D formats.
