RunRev has announced at the MacTech Conference its new LiveCode Game Academy, whereby both new and experienced developers will learn to create mobile games in just seven weeks.

The academy will run online weekly from Dec. 3 to Jan. 31 with a two-week break over the holidays. It’s a free, no obligation program. Information and registration details are available online at http://www.runrev.com/academy .

LiveCode was designed to give software and mobile app developers the easiest way to create applications for any platform or purpose, according to the folks at RunRev. It’s a cross-platform solution that enables shared code across multiple platforms and devices.

In addition to LiveCode for mobile devices, deployment packs include Mac OS X desktops, Windows desktops, Linux desktops, and web browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer. LiveCode pricing begins at US$99 for a one-seat, personal use license, with additional pricing options for various commercial and academic environments.
