The agenda has now been set for the Fourth Annual FCPUG Amsterdam SuperMeet (http://supermeet.com/) to be held Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam during IBC week.

The Amsterdam SuperMeet will further celebrate the tenth anniversary of SuperMeets and promises to be the single largest gathering of Final Cut, Adobe, Avid, Autodesk editors, and digital filmmakers, gurus and users during IBC2011.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the SuperMeet web site. Doors open at 16:30-17:00.

Scheduled to appear on stage will be Michael Wohl, one of the original designers of Final Cut Pro. He will show “What you Need to Know about Final Cut Pro X.

“There’s a lot of myths circulating in the industry as to what Final Cut Pro X can and cannot do,” states Wohl. “That’s my focus at the SuperMeet, to clear up the confusion about what Final Cut Pro X editors can do now.”

Film editor Eddie Hamilton will describe the editorial of “X-Men: First Class” and “Kick-Ass” and then be joined by Michael Krulik of AVID who will share the latest news on Avid Media Composer. Adobe’s Jason Levine will show how CS5.5 Production Premium software can deliver a fully-featured professional editing workflow, showcasing Adobe Premiere Pro native workflow, including working with DSLR footage; Working with ProRes files; Native integration with After Effects and Photoshop; and the Speed and power of the 64-bit Adobe Media Encoder, exporting content to multiple screens, devices and tablets.

Cinematographer and director Philip Bloom will present a compilation of video clips that comprise what he feels is his best work over the last year. Autodesk’s Ken La Rue will show what it takes to put together a 3D stereoscopic music video from edit to visual effects to finish using Autodesk Smoke for Mac.

Award winning colorist, Dado Valentic will be talking about using DaVinci Resolve on his recent commercial projects for Christian Dior and talking about workflow with FCP. He will also showcase some of his 3D work.

Rounding out the evening will be the always “World Famous Raffle,” where currently over Euro 36,000 worth of valuable prizes will be handed out.

The SuperMeet Digital Showcase will feature over 20 software and hardware developers, including Autodesk, Blackmagic Design, Avid, Adobe, AJA, Genarts, Atomos, Pond 5, G-Tech, Matrox, Noise Industries, Media Machine, Maxon, Future Store, B&H, College of Multimedia, SAE Institute, Red Giant Software, Glyph, iCentre, Pearson, Qube Cinema and others. Attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, mingle and party with industry peers, network with manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for post production and broadcast markets.

Tickets are Euro 15.00 each (the price includes two raffle tickets) for adults and Euro 10.00 for students and teachers It will be Euro 20.00 each at the door assuming any tickets are left. Food, (snacks) and cash bars will be available throughout the evening.
