“GQ” is launching a new digital edition for the iPad beginning with the May issue. The latest app provides a more interactive and enhanced reader experience and more closely resembles the look and feel of the print magazine. The app’s interactive features include 360-degree images, animation, better social media integration. Digital issues can be purchased for US$4.99.

Pro Softnet Corp. — a provider of cloud storage, online backup, compliance, and remote access solutions for consumers and business — has announced the availability of IDrive Mobile, a free iPhone app that lets users literally “get in touch” with their online backed-up files. After downloading and installing the IDrive Mobile app, users log into their IBackup account using their established credentials to view backed up files, check to ensure their last backup completed successfully, even view account statistics including how much data is backed up and how much storage space is available. The new IDrive Mobile app is also compatible with the iPod touch and iPad.

Breakforward has released Attain for iPad users. This is a project management application. In the $9.99, users have tools to organize multiple and sub-level task lists, appointments, notes, contacts and more, all in one place.

Ananse Productions has introduced Stem Stumper 1.0, a $1.99 iPhone puzzle game. It’s integrated with VoiceOver, Apple’s built-in screen reader for iOS devices. And if you think you can solve our puzzles with a blindfold on, there’s a sound only “sonar” mode.

PalmoLogix has launched its What’s On Air app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $1.99 radio player that keeps its users up-to-date with their favorite music by detecting what songs and bands are currently broadcasted. What’s On Air is designed especially for those who adore listen to radio stations but who can’t wait for their favorite song or bands to appear on air.

Rorscode has debuted Finishing Touch 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The free app gives users a free tool for cloning one part of a photo to blend with another section. Finishing Touch is built for eliminating blemishes, dark circles and other slight imperfections in pictures, just by pressing and tapping.

Shreta Dupree has created iCrayonMaker 211014 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $0.99 is designed for budding artists who use the app to mix and swirl colors to create their own hue and turn it into a crayon, which they get to name. Kids can then draw pictures with the crayons they made, add glitter, chalk and felt marker effects before sharing with friends and family via Facebook or email.

Fred Burger says he aims to bring smiles and laughs through The Gift of Laughter. The app — free through May 1, $2.99 afterwards — is designed to make you laugh by witnessing belly laughs via video, featuring 25 folks who auditioned for the laughing matter. The video clips, which feature 15 to 20 seconds of people laughing, can be viewed and shared one at a time, as a group, or on a loop.

The new Robot Tycoon ($4.99) for the iPad allows players to conquer the world with a legion of ‘bots — not through war, but by creating a business empire like no other. Players build and manage a robot factory. SKH Apps is offering a free app, iTextFast Free 1.0 to let users find out how fast they can text popular acronym’s and phrases. Users can use the iPhone/iPod typing speed test to see how fast they can text words and phrases like: omg, ttyl, im omw home, the alphabet and more. PTT Games has unleashed Achilles’ Defense 1.0, a physics-based game for iPhone, iPod touch.The $1.99 app is based on the famous Greek hero, Achilles, in the Trojan War. Your goal is to defend the temple against the hordes of devil creatures. Tap the screen and hold to build up power, then release to fire. Achilles’ Defense includes 20 challenging levels and eight mythical monsters. You can purchase upgrades for special power, weapons and temple.

Pocket Disco 1.0 for the iOS family of devices has boogied out from Brandon Abbott . It’s a free app with real flashing disco lights. Using the iPhone 4 flash Pocket Disco simulates a disco reflection effect.

AppGeneration has rolled out Little Predators 1.0, a $1.99 survival game applying chase and catch instincts. It’s a hunt/catch game with two types of predators and five different terrains. As the predator, you must remember to use different strategies to catch your prey.

RJR Software has updated RJRCollections Pro for the iPhone, and iPod touch. The $14.99 provides users with tools to organize and display collections directly on their mobile devices.
