Apple now seven among global computer makers
The one U.S. computer OEM [original equipment manufacturer’ that managed to outperform the personal computer market in the first quarter of 2010 was Apple, whose shipments rose by 32.4% from a year earlier, says a new report from iSuppli Market Research (http://www.isuppli.com).
“Apple’s Macintosh line is benefitting from the halo effect of the enormous popularity of its iPhones and iPads,” Matthew Wilkins, principal analyst for compute platforms at iSuppli, says.
