HoudahGeo 2.7 adds high quality maps, satellite imagery

Houdah Software (http://www.houdah.com/) has updated HoudahGeo, a geocoding solution for the Mac, to version 2.7. The new version adds high quality maps and satellite imagery. Maps are used within HoudahGeo to check the results from automatic geocoding as well as for manually placing photographs.

HoudahGeo costs US$30 for a single-user license for new users. Version 2.7 is a free update for registered users. HoudahGeo requires Mac OS X 10.4.8 or higher.

Wulven Game Studios has released Santa Slaughter 1.0, available for free on the iPhone, iPad and Facebook. In the game, Santa’s village is under attack, and it’s up to him to stop the evil monsters in this 3D first person shooter.

Beansprites has introduced Dark Woods 1.0, a fantasy game for the iPad. In the US$3.99 game, you explore five worlds with various themed layouts, and battle creatures from magical mushrooms to creepy trees and bats.

The Justbeats by Dr. Dre Solo Headphone (US$199.95) and iBeats by Dr. Dre Justbeats Edition ($119.95) include features such as ControlTalk so that users can answer a phone call while listening to music.
